sweatshops
The hardest thing in in my consumer spending is looking at the label which says, "Made in China." Knowingly, these sweatshops that create the products that we buy and use is for our well pleasure. My consumer habit may not change but I plan to work on what I purchase especially toys for my son. I want to be careful on what I buy such as clothing and other necessities that I need. Although this may be difficult when items I want are made from other foreign countries such as China. I believe change could be made from my part such as looking at the different merchandise that I purchase and taking a second look. As tempting as it is, I want to be able to say no because I am compassionate.

Hey Jerry,
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean- it is almost impossible these days to find anything that isn't made in China. It is not possible to be a passionate consumer about everything you by especially with a child because it seems like all the toys these days are manufactured overseas. I think the fact that your aware of what you are doing and are willing to be more aware of your purchases is a step in the right direction. It is especially important in regards to your son as well because it's a good habit to pass down to him. Who knows maybe it will be his generation that is able to solve this problem...
Obama would like you if he saw this article. Buying more domestic products is helpful to the economy and healthful for you. Just choose the life you want if you got enough bucks.
